I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lotus Garden Cottage Bnb, owned by Mr. Jon Kim. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Mr. Kim himself, who was very kind and hospitable. We had accidentally chose the wrong room, but Mr. Kim was very comprehensive and didn’t charge anything. The room itself was beautiful and well-appointed, with a spectacular bathroom that was a joy to use. But the real highlight of our stay was the breakfast. Mr. Kim went above and beyond to provide us with a delicious and hearty breakfast that set us up for the day. Overall, our stay at Lotus Garden Cottage Bnb was truly exceptional, and I would give it a full 5 stars. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay in the area. Thank you, Mr. Kim, for making our stay so memorable!

We loved our stay in Lotus Garden Cottage. It is located in a beautiful tropical garden. My family enjoyed the singing birds and the peaceful ambience. We loved having tea/ lunch/ dinner on the porch while enjoying the beautiful garden. The rooms in this cottage are beautifully decorated and full of character. Mr. Kim was very warm. Thank you for the hospitality, Mr. Kim!

PEACEFUL STAY IN VOLCANO

We spent the bulk of our trip over on the western side of the island but couldn’t get a room the first two nights of our stay, so we happened upon Lotus Garden and it ended up being our favorite experience of the whole vacation. The owner Mr. Kim was hospitable, friendly, and helped us check in after hours after our drive over from Kona airport ran late. Highly recommend the White Lotus suite. The room had a peaceful decor with a cozy gas fireplace, and he’d set up a dehumidifier for us so the room was a perfect temperature throughout our stay. The bath area is sizable with a large jacuzzi tub and the unit is surrounded by lovely greenery which was welcome relaxation coming from a bustling city. Within 10 minutes driving you’ll find Volcano National Park (we were so close we were able to go every day!), Ono Cafe, and the TukTuk Thai food truck – recommend visiting all 3! After leaving something behind in the room, Mr. Kim even shipped it back to our home in California with much care. We will definitely be back and have highly recommended staying here to everyone we know!

Beautiful, peaceful cottage with king, sofa and chairs. Charming in decor with lots of details. New bathroom is stunning. Breakfast superb and varied each day, with fruit plate and pastry, and/or quiche. Situated in the middle of the rain forest. See photos. I highly recommend this wonderful place. (Would not take the prettiest photos.). We stayed two nights. Remember warm clothes for Volcano.)

What a magical spot this is tucked away within the lush botanical forest! My wife and I stayed in the Aloha Moon Cottage and had the most comfortable and relaxing long weekend. You can’t ask for much more than a jacuzzi or a pop in the hot tub after a good long day of hiking/exploring the volcanoes. John, the owner, is simply the best. He’s very sweet and so accommodating. The breakfast he supplies is delicious and substantial. I recommend taking it out to the porch to eat plein-air on a sunny morning. We can’t speak more highly of this place. Enjoy!

We chose this location due to the close proximity to Volcanos National Park (less than a 10 minute drive). We met our host, Jung (John) Kim upon arrival. He’s very gracious and showed us around his compound and the features of our room. The room (Aloha Moon Cottage) is spectacular! Beautifully furnished, it also has a fabulous bathroom with nice jacuzzi tub and a great rain shower. We enjoyed the tub each evening! We had the opportunity to view some of the other 3 cottage rooms and you simply can’t make a wrong choice: all are fabulous and each a little different. Mr. Kim has put his personal touch on each room and his focus on ensuring we have all we need is quite evident. His breakfast meals were great; we dined outside each morning as we lucked out with beautiful weather. I think the best review I can give is that we have already requested a booking for next year, for a longer stay just so we can enjoy this B&B! Mahalo, John and Sally.
